For their romantic New York City wedding, Katie and Liz chose to celebrate in the most personal way possible—just the two of them, focusing entirely on their love and the bond they share. Their day unfolded like a beautifully written love letter, intimate and intentional, with no distractions beyond the joy of being together.
They began at The Beekman Hotel, one of New York’s architectural gems. Nestled in Lower Manhattan, the Beekman blends historic grandeur with modern elegance. Its nine-story atrium, cast-iron railings, and mosaic-tiled floors harken back to the building’s 19th-century origins, while its contemporary details make it a true destination for romance. Within those walls, Katie and Liz prepared for the day and shared a private dinner together. The setting felt timeless and cinematic, an atmosphere that perfectly framed their desire for something deeply personal.
From there, the celebration shifted to Brooklyn for their ceremony by the water. Despite the rain, or perhaps because of it, the moment carried an incredible weight and beauty. Umbrellas overhead and raindrops falling around them, Katie and Liz exchanged vows with the swelling views of Downtown Manhattan rising behind them. The city, moody and alive, became part of their backdrop, a reminder of the place where their story has unfolded.
What made their wedding so special was the simplicity of it. No grand production, no large audience. Just two people fully present with each other. Being invited to witness and document such a private celebration was a profound honor.
Katie and Liz’s wedding day was proof that love doesn’t need spectacle to be extraordinary. In the quiet moments, in the rain, in a dinner shared at one of New York’s most storied hotels, they created something entirely their own: intimate, authentic, and unforgettable.
